Ethiopian Opal

Anyone in Tucson this year could not have missed the huge influx of hydrophane opal from Ethiopia. The first deposits were discovered mace than ten years ago, with this opal deposit running for more than a hundred kilometers across Ethiopia. Of course, not all Ethiopian opal is alike and only some areas produce gem-quality material.
